Is the N deposition provided for 5km grid square the total N deposition within that 5km grid square or an average over that 5km grid square?

It is the total deposition which is based on interpolating/krigging methods from a measured network to create a 5km grid. Some parts of the total (dry deposition NH₃) are from modelled output.
