APIS GIS map tool latest release (29/11/2023): Screening Acidity Critical Loads tab per site and location ; pollutant values for Ireland

Dear APIS users,

We are releasing today a new feature of the APIS tool, as well as an updatte to the pollutant values for Ireland.

Screening Acidity Critical Loads

Within the Screening Acidity Critical Loads tab, it is now possible to query suggested values of CLos for the whole designated site (which until now was the default) or for a specific 1km grid square, using the switch on the top-left corner

Though this has been implemented for both UK and Ireland, our database holds 1km grid square CLos estimates for the UK only.

Upon selecting either of these options, the background type used for background pollutant values is either selected by the tool (default until now), or by the user, and the suggested values updated accordingly for both UK and Ireland.

Pollutant values for Ireland

The database and the Grid Information tab have been updated for Ireland, so that N deposition, acidity, and concentrations of NH3, NOx and SO2 are displayed for any Irish location, even if outside of a designated site (prior to this update, the tab was working only for locations within designated sites for Ireland).

As usual, please feedback to us and report any issue should any arise
